I am new to your blog which is very sweet and enjoyably well-written, thanks for that. I hope I can find my way back.
I just wanted to offer my condolences to you for working in HR consulting. I worked in HR for a number of years, and am mostly glad I don't, anymore. I enjoyed Employee & Labor Relations (I was a principal negotiator for management, ooh boo hiss) but I always felt like the odd duck with other HR people. I believe people are more important than rules, and rules are meant to be creatively interpreted for the benefit of people.
Sleeping and daydreaming can sometimes be the most productive activity in the HR field, in my opinion.
